"Don't candy coat the truth" was our mantra with this annual report for a Bay Area biotech company that had a down year. In the biotech industry, all it takes is a failed clinical trial or two to cause a shock to its shareholders. While many companies would choose to gloss over the truth and put on a happy face, we chose to tackle the reality of the difficult year right on the cover. Many shareholders appreciated the candor and continued in their support for this small biotech firm.
